RONDO
the 2016 challenge in round parts
The best place to keep concrete artists on their toes is at the trotting track: under the auspicious label “RONDO”, a total of seven elegant apartment buildings have been erected in the new “Viertel Zwei” district, which, with their striking, angular balcony breasts, will elicit an appreciative nod from even the most jaded jockey: Statically co-supporting prefabricated breastwork in 700 individual pieces up to 7 meters long for a total of 4,692 running meters in five different basic radii and with slopes and colour variations that defy any payment. In short – the perfect job for a fine concrete manufacturer like RAUTER.
Over 70 artfully crafted basic formworks, an extra-fine exposed concrete sandblasting system, super-soft special logistics and an increased documentation, QA and final inspection regiment are challenges that no precast plant far and wide behind Semmering dares to take on.
So it’s no wonder that with apartment prices in the region of EUR 7,000 per m2, only the most elegant precast concrete elements are good enough, as sales project manager Robert Binder tells us with an ironic smile: “We couldn’t afford any of these apartments …” – However, the entire RAUTER team achieved something truly impressive.
